Diamond Quadrilateral- India.

 'Diamond Quadrilateral' high speed network connecting the four major cities of India located in four  edges of the country was a key plank in the BJP's election manifesto, and the BJP Government has shown interest in implementing the project. 

STATUSUnder planning, segments approved.

MAJOR TERMINALS: DELHI, WEST BENGAL, TAMIL NADU and MAHARASHTRA.

OWNER: Indian Railways.

OPERATING SPEED: 320 km/hr


In PM Narendra Modi's address to the joint session of the Parliament, on 9 June 2014, the President of India, officially mentioned about the policy of the new Government led by Narendra Modi to launch a Diamond Quadrilateral project of high speed trains.
