What does Railway Budget 2014-15 means to passengers:
BULLET TRAINS: The Rail Budget has proposed starting bullet trains services in the Mumbai-Ahmedabad sector.
TOURIST CIRCUITS: Pilgrim circuits such as Devi Circuit, Jyotirling Circuit, Jain Circuit, Christian Circuit, Muslim/Sufi Circuit, Sikh Circuit, Buddhist Circuit have been identified. Two trains -- Gadag to Pandarpur and Rameswaram to Haridwar, covering tourist destinations, will be introduced

HIGH SPEED CORRIDOR: A Diamond Quadrilateral Network of High Speed Rail to connect metroes has been announced. The speed of trains plying in this corridor is expected to reach 200 km/h.
IMPROVED AMENITIES: Escalators, lifts and foot-over bridges will be made available at all major stations. Sufficient water supply, toilets and platform shelters will be installed at all stations. Battery-operated carts will be extended to more stations
BETTER FOOD: Branded ready-to-eat food will be introduced in stations and trains. Food Courts will be set up in major stations. Passengers can order regional cuisines while onboard via SMS and emails. This will be tested in New Delhi-Amritsar and New Delhi-Jammu Tawi sections

NEW TRAINS: Railways proposes to introduce 58 new trains, which includes five Jansadharan Trains, five Premium Trains, six AC Express Trains, 27 Express Trains, eight Passenger Trains, two MEMU services and five DEMU services this year
