Pacts with Russia - BRICS 2016
1. Manufacturing of Kamov 226T helicopters.
2. Constructions of frigates and acquisition and building of other defence platforms are in synergy with India’s technology and security priorities.
3. Russia also to help India to achieve the objectives of Make in India.
4. India and Russia have also agreed to work on an annual military industrial conference that will allow stakeholders on both sides to institute and push collaboration.
5. Present dedication of Kudankulum unite 2 and laying of foundation concrete of Kundankulum 3 and 4, India has the tangible results of India-Russia cooperation in the field of Civil Nuclear Energy.
6. Another proposed construction of eight nuclear reactors ranging cooperation in nuclear energy is set to bring rich dividends for both the countries.
7. India's proposed agreement in enlarging India's presence in Russia’s Hydrocarbon sector. Indian companies have invested close to US Dollars 5.5 billion in Russia’s Oil and Gas sector.
- Rosneft-led group acquires Essar Oil for nearly $13 billion
- Russia's state-controlled oil giant Rosneft+ and its partners took over India's second biggest private oil firm Essar Oil+ in an all-cash deal valued at about $13 billion.
- Rosneft bought a 49 per cent stake in Essar Oil+ 's refinery port and petrol pumps,
while Netherlands-based Trafigura Group Pte, one of the world's biggest commodity trading companies, and Russian investment fund United Capital Partners split another 49 per cent equity equally. - The remaining 2 per cent is held by minority shareholders after delisting of Essar Oil.
8. A combination of robust civil nuclear cooperation, LNG sourcing, partnership in the Oil and Gas sector, and engagement in renewables can construct a promising ‘Energy Bridge’ between two countries.
9. To set up a Science and Technology Commission. Through this societies will reap the benefits of joint development, transfer and sharing of cutting edge technologies in different fields.
10. Inter Governmental Agreement for the purchase of S-400 long-range air defence missile system which has the capability to destroy incoming hostile aircraft, including stealth, besides missiles and drones at ranges of up to 400 km.
